How to Reach 5x ROAS on Meta Ads

The Facebook and Instagram approach we use to hold 5 to 10 times return on ad spend.

Creative is the targeting now

Meta delivery finds buyers faster than any marketer can describe them, so narrow interest stacking usually costs more than it returns. Go broad, exclude existing customers, and put the effort into the creative instead. The ad is what decides who responds.

Test concepts, not colors

Three to five genuinely different concepts per month, each with variations in format and hook. Changing a button color produces a difference too small to measure. Changing the opening idea produces differences large enough to act on.

Watch for fatigue before it costs you

Frequency climbing while click through rate falls is the early signal. Cost per acquisition follows a week or two later. Having the next batch already in testing is what separates accounts that scale from accounts that spike and crash.

Check platform numbers against blended

Platform reported return is generous because attribution windows credit the platform. Divide total revenue by total marketing spend across every channel. If blended is flat while Meta reports strongly, the platform is claiming sales you were going to get anyway.

How do you scale without breaking performance?

Raise budget in steps rather than jumps. Increasing a campaign budget by more than about twenty percent at once tends to push it back into the learning phase, where costs rise while the system re optimizes. Increase, wait for performance to settle, then increase again. Scaling horizontally by adding new campaigns and audiences is usually safer than forcing more spend through one that is already working.

What should you do when performance drops?

Resist the urge to change five things at once, because you then cannot tell which one helped. Check creative fatigue first by looking at frequency and click through rate. Check whether tracking broke, which happens more often than people expect after a site change. Check whether a competitor entered the auction by watching cost per thousand impressions. Then change one variable and give it enough time to produce a readable result.

Everything above comes out of live client accounts rather than theory. If you would rather have it run on your business than read about it, we start with a free audit: two weeks, one channel, written findings that are yours to keep whether you hire us or not.

Common questions

Working with Wigital Marketing.

That is what the free audit is for. We look at your actual accounts and tell you which of these levers is available to you and roughly what it is worth, rather than recommending everything in the article. It takes two weeks and the written findings are yours whether you hire us or not.

We work with US businesses from established local operations through to national brands. The honest cut off is at the small end: if marketing spend is under a couple of thousand dollars a month, an agency fee eats too much of the budget and you are better served doing it in house with the guides on this blog.

We do not publish a rate card, because the same channel needs very different amounts of work at different revenue levels. Tell us your goals and what you are running now, we audit it, and you get a written quote priced against the scope your business actually needs.

No. Everything is month to month with no notice period and no exit fee. If we stop earning the work you should be able to leave the same week, and that constraint is deliberate.
